There is no extra elbow attachment for the water point.

The water point is actually the top rail connection. The bottom connection is a simple mounting bracket.

The water travels through the rail and then the hose to the handset.

So your 15mm water point is placed where the top of the rail will be put.

Does that make this unit perfect for easy changeovers, well not so much?

If you are removing an older style shower that has no hose, this rail may end up keeping the handset too low.
